I was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and I grew up in Edinburgh, Glasgow and North London. I then attended the University of Leicester doing humanities subjects including History of Art. After this I trained and worked in Social Work related employments. I also followed various other pursuits such as research (for the York museums). I have had an involvement in visual art much of my life, including part time study and when I was younger in a few of of my occupational roles. I now mainly combine drawing and painting with writing articles.
